Story times and weekly programs at Main Line libraries

Most Main Line libraries hold a story time for babies, toddlers or preschoolers at least twice a week, and many add a weekly club for school-age children or teens. The table lists every weekly program on the library calendars for October 2026, grouped by day, with the ages and sign-up rules each library states. The editions on this site leave these programs out, since they repeat every week. Each program links to its own page, and the “Runs” column gives the dates the library had posted when it was checked on October 6, 2026.

Story times that need a session sign-up

Radnor Memorial Library runs its young children’s story times in sessions, and families register once for the whole session rather than week to week. Registration opens two weeks before the first class.

• Toddler Storytime, ages 2 to 3: a 7-week Monday session at 10 AM runs October 26 to December 14. The library asks families to sign up for either the Monday or the Thursday class, not both.
• Preschool Storytime & Craft, ages 3 to 5: Thursdays at 2 PM, with the next session listed from October 29.
• Mother Goose on the Loose, birth to 24 months: a 6-week Tuesday session at 10 AM runs October 27 to December 15.

Before you go

• Outdoor story times move or cancel with the weather. Penn Wynne’s Books and Blankets story time does not run in rain, snow, freezing weather or a heat advisory, and Paoli’s story time at Greentree Park moves indoors to the library in November.
• Programs that take registrations fill up. On October 6, Haverford’s Music Munchkins I for October 9 had no seats left, and Radnor’s Thursday toddler session had a waitlist.
• Paoli Library and Malvern Public Library are closed Monday, October 12, and Paoli’s My First Storytime on Friday, October 9 is cancelled.
